As a registered charity, AHHCA isn’t here to make a profit, but to simply fulfil its’ charitable purpose. Rental received from room hire at Adastra Hall is spent back on the running of the building – maintenance, repairs, gas, electricity, cleaners, insurance – all the costs associated with running a big building that’s now nearly 40 years old. Reserves are maintained – for example to cover large capital expenditure.
In the year to June 2023, the following investments have been made in Adastra Hall. We have been successful in applying for, and receiving nearly £40,000 of grants towards these costs and we are grateful to the National Lottery Communities Fund, LoCase and the Platinum Jubilee Fund for their support for these works.
Project | Approximate Cost |
Replacement of all lighting for LED | £5,000 |
Revarnish the hall floor | £2,300 |
